Men's Shirts.

Costco - Chaps brand (men's) shirt; Dynamite pants; Walmart boots; Forever 21 necklace

Today I'm rockin' the men's shirt. There's just something about a men's shirt that makes me feel wonderful - the baggy and comfortable fit, the way it slouches down my arms... There's nothing about wearing a men's button-up that I don't love. Nothing.

Also thank you for everyone's sweet comments on my blog-i-versary post. If I could hug you all I would, but I can't. So let's settle for an e-hug. If that's too awkward for you, here's a smile - :)

Can you believe that today is this little blog's blog-iversary? Today Enter Kelly turns 1 year old. Wow, how time flies. I've learned so much and e-met so many new people. I'm so appreciative of everyone's support over the year, you guys are seriously the best.

To see how far my blog & I have come, here are 10 neat facts about us:

1. I started Enter Kelly with Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge. What a great way to kick off the blog, I must say.

To see the rest, click here!

2. I have learned how to belt just about everything, including this poncho

3. I gained the confidence to distress my own jeans.

4. This "summer work-wear wish-list" I created has made it's rounds on Pinterest and is consequently one of my most viewed posts.

5. I bought my very first hat in YEARS. I blame the impulse buy on all the other lovely bloggers wearing hats during the summer. ;)

6. I've seeked lots of advice from other bloggers, including whether or not this skirt was too short.

7. I've gone through the trials and tribulations of owning a poor quality camera, and then learning how much better a DLSR really is.

8. I've gone through a number of firsts in my wardrobe. For example, this outfit. First sheer top, first pair of flared trouser jeans. And know what? I love trying new things.

9. I've learned how to deal with my insecurities in a much more positive fashion.

10. My most-viewed outfit post is an "Open to Interpretation" post where I linked up with Kayla of Freckles in April and wore this:

Happy birthday to us and here's to another wonderful year of blogging. Thanks for the love & support everyone. Honestly, I wouldn't have been able to learn all this without you :) xo

I heard that you liked the bad girls.

Costco blazer; Tommy Hilfiger (men's) shirt (from Costco); Dynamite leggings; Spring wedge boots

I've been on a Lana Del Rey kick. I don't know why but her music has a special place in my music-heart. She's definitely a unique voice and I love the stories her lyrics tell.

I'm linking this outfit up with Bloggers Take The Town - a link-up started by Sydney (of Take Me For A Twirl) and Emma (of Verbal Melange). Some of my favourite bloggers, they are :) Anyway, the idea is to feature outfits that we've worn out on the town.

I've wore a version of this out a few times for a few reasons:
1) These are my favourite pants to wear out - I call them my liquid leggings and they make me feel awesome;
2) You can't go wrong with a blazer to add some class/sophistication;
3) Wedge heels are impossible to wear casually in this winter snow, so going out is the only time I can really take advantage of them!

Check it out and link up yourself if you've got a fun "going out" outfit to feature :)

Patience.

AE sweater; Winners jeans; Old Navy gingham; Payless boots

I hate waiting.
Like when I'm in line at the grocery store, or stopped at a red light.
Or maybe when I'm waiting for the weekend to come and it's only Monday.
I'm impatient when it comes to dessert after dinner, or when I'm waiting to go out with friends.
I hate waiting for good news, or bad news, or just news altogether.
...Guess I gotta work on that.

What about you? Are you patient?

Neon.

Forever 21 shirt & necklace; American Eagle jeans; Walmart boots

Oh neon, where have you been all this time? Nothing better than a shirt that resembles the colour of a highlighter. Talk about making a statement! I gotta admit, when I made the online order from Forever 21 I wasn't sure how this colour would turn out. When I got the package, I was even a little more terrified by the colour that came out. Then I put it on and my mind did a 180...

I've fallen in love with this highlighter-like shirt.

Spring, here I come in my bright and neon glory :)

Will you be wearing neon this spring?

Spring Sets

Just some looks that define what I want my spring to be:

1) A little bit of edge & fun

Spring

2) Pretty and casual
Spring 2

3) Pops of colour & prints

Do you have something that you can't wait for spring to wear?

Life.

Dynamite top; AE jeans; Payless boots

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”
- Marilyn Monroe

Everything happens for a reason.

Accessories.

If you've followed my blog for a while, you might notice that my personal style isn't too wrapped up in accessorizing (especially with jewelry). To me, it's easier to find a shirt that I love rather than a pretty necklace or two. I don't know why I downplay accessories, but I guess it's just the way I am.

Do you like to accessorize? How do you add a little "something" to your simple outfits?
