This is my first printed top, thanks Old Navy for pulling through for me! I missed the printed blouse trend that was so big last fall, but now I have one of my own! Hopefully this trend continues through spring, because I think these little prints are so freaking cute. Check out these little birdies!
Old Navy top; Smart Set jacket; American Eagle jeans; Spring boots
Though the shirt is really static-y. Is there a trick or something to make it stop clinging to me? Does anyone know? I'm tired of touching things and getting shocked.
Also, can you tell Ottawa has recently gone through a thaw period? Seriously, it's the best. I can finally go outside in something OTHER than huge clunky boots! And I can see the road again! It's fabbity-fab. It really feels like winter is slowly retreating, maybe it'll surrender early this year?
You look hot Kelly! That top is so cute!! I'm so bummed I wasn't able to go to Old Navy that day. Also, that jacket is just awesome!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, ON has been awesome lately. You look great!

lace, etc.
Love that sweet print on that top! Do you use dryer sheets when you dry your clothes? That makes all my clothes non-staticy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute bird print shirt! I think this trend will be sticking around for a while since I've seen a lot of prints on spring clothes. And yay for seeing pavement again!

I almost bought that top but the static-y feeling was driving me crazy in the dressing room. Please let me know if there's a solution! Happy your back:)
ReplyDeleteSome people have suggested dryer sheets. I'll try it out and we'll see how it goes!
DeleteI love that shirt! It is so fun.
ReplyDeleteAnd rub a dryer sheet all over that puppy. Should get rid of the static. That little trick also works on hair, in case you were wondering. You probably weren't, but oh well!
Oh, and you can also stick dryer sheets under the mats in your car, and your car will smell amazing.
Okay, I'm done now.
Awesome! I'll definitely try a dryer sheet. Maybe I'll carry a few around in case I need to use them in my hair, in my car, or any other random but amazing places to put them! You've opened my mind to so many possibilities...
DeleteI adore your top--it is so cute! Sometimes if you stick your top in the dryer with a dryer sheet for a few minutes before you wear it, it will help with the static. You look great!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute top!
ReplyDeleteTry a dryer sheet (as mentioned above) - works like a charm!
Oooh, I might have to go out and snag this top myself...too cute! I sometimes carry dryer sheets with me and rub myself down with them when no one's looking...or they make this spray that comes in an aerosol can, but I don't know if it's a long-term thing or if it only works for a few hours.
ReplyDeleteyou look cute!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous, as always :) And I noticed it doesn't look AS snowy! Haha :)
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing!!! That blouse and blazer are fab!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSo I totally bought the same shirt recently :) I went as far as to ask the sales associate to take it off a mannequin for me, because there were no more small sizes left. It has quickly become one of my favorite blouses that I own.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you styled it, definitely gives me ideas on how to style mine :)
PS. I usually use a dryer sheet and rub the inside of the shirt with it. As well, putting on lotion before wearing it really helps too!

Perfect styling and those shoes are perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love your top - even though it might be static-y it looks fabulous on you, especially paired with that blazer!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD... I'm totally wearing this shirt in my post for tomorrow! My fiance says it either makes me look too old or too young so I'm throwing up a poll to find out what people say. I'm glad to know that someone else likes it too! And I'm totally with you on the static.
