This is the first EBEW I'm participating in! After seeing everyone's polkadots during my confined 30x30, I wanted to make sure I was able to participate in April's. When it ended up being voted maxi dress/skirt, I was kind of bummed out. I didn't HAVE a maxi dress or skirt, and didn't really want to make one (no sewing machine, and too much work. Yeah, I'm lazy).
BUT then Forever 21 saved me (as always). They had a great racer-back maxi dress for only $14.50. So I decided I would give it a whirl, and I really like it!
Sweater, Maxi, Bracelets and Necklace from F21; Belt (old) from my mom's closet; Flats from Smart Set; Bag (no brand) from eBay
Though I do look a little short, which is weird. Because I'm not. Oh well, I still think I'll be wearing this dress a lot this summer!
LOVE seeing maxi styles...takes 'em to a whole new level!
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing when I saw this month's was a maxi! I didn't manage to find anything that worked though :( Old Navy had a really cute skirt but it didn't work out for me. Sad. I'll be hitting up F21 when I get close enough to one, they can always come to the rescue :P
ReplyDeleteI love your look, by the way. I'll be keeping this in mind once I find a maxi of my own!

I love the way you styled your maxi...it looks fresh and comfortable yet professional enough for the office which has always been my concern.
ReplyDeleteVery cute Kelly. I checked out the girls on EBEW and your maxi/styling was one of my favorites! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love your styling of this maxi- the sweater looks like a blazer so it gives this a whole professional chic kind of look that I adore. Nice job picking out a basic black maxi- it will be easy to remix!
