Notebooks and diaries.

It belongs to me. My thoughts, my feelings, my words.

Over the weekend I bought a dual-pack of notebooks. I figured one could be used for everyday things - little reminders, grocery lists, to-do lists, etc. The second, however, will become a diary of sorts. I have always loved the idea of the "line a day" diaries, where you write one sentence daily. I think this notebook will be a mix of that, thoughts, inspirations and things that make me feel.

Do you keep a notebook or diary of sorts?

  1. I like the idea of a line a day. I can't commit to writing something long every single day, so something that simple is great!

  2. I don't have a journal or diary but I like the one line a day. Sounds like a great idea.

  3. that is a fabulous idea!!
I have kept a journal religiously since I was 13, which is HILARIOUS to accidentally stumble on those journals from the early days (oh 14 year old me, so funny and angsty and trying WAYYYY too hard). I love journaling because it gets all your crazy thoughts that are running around in your head out on paper (calm down brain!) and it gives hilarious perspective for looking back!
Your one line a day thing is great!! I love it!

    1. Omg I started journaling when I was in kindergarten and I still have every single notebook. I love flipping through the super old ones!

  4. I was just thinking the other day about how I never write in my journal anymore, and how it might be because I blog and spit out all my "this is what I did today" stuff there. I like the one line a day thing...I might try to get into that! And who knows, that might spark me into journaling more frequently too :)

I do keep a moleskin with random lists and notes in it. Details on freelance assignments, measurements and lists for apartment decorating, etc... I'd die if I lost it haha

  5. I kept a diary between the ages of 14 and 18. I started to document the drama I had with my friends and the boys I liked, haha. It's enormously hilarious to read now, but there's also the very painful part where I wrote about how my first boyfriend broke up with me after cheating. I still can't bring myself to read those pages again... I hope you'll have lots of fun writing and especially re-reading what you wrote in a few years! xo

  6. I used to do the one line a day thing, but haven't kept up with it. I love the idea of a journal/diary and I always end up starting one and then forgetting to keep up with it!

  7. I write down EVERYTHING. So yes, you are not alone in keeping a notebook of everyday things and personal thoughts. I think I have a notebook of sorts for every thought I have lol okay not quite so much!
