Polka-dot sweater.

Forever 21 sweater; Winners pants; Giant Tiger moccasins

This sweater is my new favourite. Why? Well, it's got polka dots for one. Secondly, it's actually thick enough that I don't need a second sweater on top of it. Thirdly, it has buttons up the back like a backwards cardigan. I tried to take a photo but it didn't turn out well. I'll try again next time.

Last night I got to hand out Halloween candy. When I was younger, my house used to get 80-100 kids trick-or-treating. This year? 20. That's it. The downside? I feel like I'm living in a retirement community. The upside? I get all this candy to myself. Oh wait, maybe that's a downside...

Did you get trick-or-treaters?

  2. We only had like 5 groups come to us for trick or treating. Crazy.... I think its because we live on top of a hill.... and everyone trick or treats at the bottom of the hill and the neighborhood around it. Anyway I love this sweater as well. Looks J-CREW and from F21 cant get much better than that!

    1. Hehe everyone's too lazy to actually climb the hill for candy ;) That's too funny!

  3. Love the green and gray together! And the buttons down the back?? Love the little extra detail! I wish thick sweaters were a priority here... sigh, Texas will maybe drop to 45 degrees this year.

    1. Thanks Britt! Thick sweaters are a gem here - you need 'em to survive 5 months of the year!

  4. Oh, I love this idea! I have a polka dot sweater too and will have to try paring my green pants with it. The contrast is super adorable. Thanks for the inspiration! Adding this to Pinterest!

  5. We only got 34 kids exactly (yup I kept a tally) and like you I was disappointed because I thought there would be so many more so I stocked up on candy. Ah well, I brought it to work for clients to enjoy. Love the backwards cardigan!

  6. We usually get NO trick or treaters. This year we got a whopping four. Yikes. Love your outfit though. Very everyday chic. Cute.
