The joys of shopping.

American Eagle sweater; Old Navy gingham; Winners pants; Giant Tiger moccasins

I have officially finished my 1-month shopping ban. I went to the mall with a friend yesterday to celebrate, with the intention of bulking up some of my fall wardrobe. I've had the whole month to think about pieces I really wanted, and not just kinda wanted. I had a few ideas in mind.

Then I got to the mall.

And only returned with a pair of boots.

At least the boots were on my list, but there were a few other things I was looking for that I just couldn't find. Fur vest? Didn't have my size. Cream coloured blouse? Too expensive. Big cable-knit cream coloured sweater? Didn't exist.

Why is it that when I can spend the money, I can't find what I'm looking for? Oh, at least I was able to pick up some insoles... I had needed those for a long time now. whoop-dee-doo......

  2. Congratulations on finishing your ban. I've been considering doing one but then I get too excited about all the things I need (want). I love the fall colours in the photos. Ah-mazing.

    1. So true! I recommend waiting until you're well into the season, I was so sad that I couldn't take advantage of fall shopping!

  3. That happens to me all the time! It's annoying when you can't find what you want to buy. Your outfit is so cute and I'm totally going to recreate it since I have a similar sweater, pants, and gingham shirt in my closet :)

    1. YA! I tried on five dresses yesterday and nothing looked right :( You're so right though, I notice more and more that I really think about the things I buy. I guess that's a good thing :)

  6. Ah, I know what you mean. This past weekend when I went shopping with the boy I just wasn't in the mood and nothing appealed to me. Well, that is until we walk into Forever21;)

Great job on the ban! I'm about to go on one myself, which I hope to keep unitl Christmas. EKKK!

    1. I'm paying Forever 21 a visit today... Really hoping that I don't blow everything there ;)
And a ban until Christmas? Wow, good luck! If you keep it, you will be my self-control idol. A month was all I could do!

  7. Wow congrats on surviving the shopping ban! And that is ALWAYS the way with shopping! That's why I'm OK with buying great, bargain things when I happen to see them - even if I wasn't especially looking for them right then - because I know that as soon as I actually need something, I won't be able to find it! :)
