Dynamite jacket and top; American Eagle jeans; Walmart boots; Castellammare necklace
If you know me at all, you know that I LOVE any outfit that screams bad-ass. I'm totally the opposite of a "bad girl", but it's really fun to dress like I mean business. C'mon, you mean you're not scared of me in my ripped jeans, (faux) leather jacket and moto boots? I can be pretty intimidating sometimes ;)
I have been thinking of switching to the Disqus commenting system. I talked about this long ago, and implemented it temporarily, but then disabled it (I can't remember why). I feel like it might be easier for people to comment and maybe (just maybe) I'll get a little less spam than I've been getting. Has anyone had any problems with Disqus? Is it a good idea? Your advice is very much appreciated :)
haha.. yess this look is total bad ass! I love it!! Especially your top-- it's such an awesome color!
ReplyDeleteOw ow!!! Love this look on you :)
ReplyDeleteAs for Disqus, as a user, I'm not a huge fan. It's just one extra step for me to make (logging in to some account) when I'm posting a comment. But hey, it's your blog. If it works for you, go for it!
Thanks! And thanks for your opinion on Disqus. You do have a good point - it can get annoying.
DeleteI love it, Kelly! You definitely look like a bad ass in this!
ReplyDeleteI never had Disqus on my blog but I did notice for some blogs it was marking my comments as spam and so they weren't showing up.

Weird! I didn't know Disqus would do that.. Hmm, maybe not such a good idea - I don't want my good comments to be flagged as spam :P
DeleteI have used Disqus and I really liked it, but I have had a lot of good luck with Intense Debate as well. I really like it because it catches a lot of spam actually AND other bloggers that comment have an instant link to their most recent post, which I like.
ReplyDeleteI agree--bad ass clothes are great for setting a "don't mess with me" mood. I love the boots!
Intense Debate.. I'll have to think about that.. Thanks :D
DeleteI love your bad ass look! :) I have Disqus and its alright, the only reason I wont change back is because I do not want to loose all my comments. The only real issue I have with it is that you have to make sure, if you don't want it, disable the spam filter thing where you have to type in those random letters and words. I wont show up when you go to respond to a post, so you think you do not have it, but without going in and manually disabling it, you will!

I had Disqus and hated it so I switched back. When I recently started getting a TON of spam, I looked for something else. I have Intense Debate now and I really love it.
ReplyDeletePs. You look totally bad ass.
Maybe I'll check out Intense Debate - it sounds like another decent alternative. Thanks Sarah!
DeleteI really like Disqus because you get people's replies to comments emailed to you and they get your replies to their comments (I think only if they have a Disqus profile though)! For example, I'd get any reply you leave to this comment emailed to me - rather than me checking back here to see if you left a reply :)
ReplyDeleteOh and I also love dressing far edgier than my personality actually is haha :)

Love the leather jacket!
ReplyDeleteI'm personally a huge fan of disqus. I know some readers have trouble with it not loading, so I've often thought of disabling it, but then I have no idea what to do if I want to respond to a comment. Do I shoot them a response via email so I'm sure they'll see it? or respond using blogger comments on my blog, with a very very high chance they're not going to come back a 2nd time to see if I responded to their comment. Disqus makes it a whole lot easier! :)
Thanks! Hmm, interesting because I also get emails from any google replies? Oh well, it is a good feature for sure!
DeleteI HATE disqus. I don't know why, I just can't stand it.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, one thing I definitely do not hate is your outift. you look rockin!
Thanks! And yeah, I think people either love or hate disqus... probably not worth the switch..
DeleteI'm with you about dressing like a bad ass:) And I vote you go with Disqus. I haven't really had any problems (knock on wood) and think it's easy.
