Paradise.

This was my weekend. This is why I am having such a hard time getting back to the real world. I haven't felt that happy and carefree in a long time.

The cottage was perfect: beautiful view, quiet lake and perfect weather. None of us wanted to leave on Monday, so we stayed until the last possible second and left just before dinner. All of us had full-time jobs to return to on Tuesday. I guess that's how you know you've grown up - you actually have commitments you need to keep. No more student life and doing whatever you want, whenever. Now we can't just skip class if something better comes up. We now have responsibilities to more people than just ourselves...

I guess we just have to make the best with the time we get. Like going on spontaneous trips like this, making silly memories that will last for years, and taking pictures every step of the way.

P.S. Happy belated Canada Day to all my Canadian peeps!
P.P.S. Happy 4th of July to all of my American friends!

  3. This looks absolutely glorious! One of my good friends has a family cottage in Wakefield and we've gotten into the habit of taking spontaneous trips there on weekends and weekday evenings- just a few hours outside the city makes all the difference! Love the jumping pic- that should be framed!
