TRAVEL: SYRACUSE OUTLETS.

My cousins and I drove to Syracuse a couple weekends ago. On the way down we took some roadtrip selfies, stopped at a Dunkin' Donuts (it's got nothing on Tim Hortons, no offence Dunkin'.), and enjoyed some American drinks. We used to have Mello Yellow, but haven't since I was a kid. It's funny how little things can be so different 2 hours away from me. Then we shopped for the day and ate dinner at Dino BBQ. I got the plate with the "smaller portions" and I still didn't finish it. So much meat oh my godddd. Pulled pork, brisket, ribs - where do you even start? The pulled pork was my favourite, but those mashed potatoes were heavenly and the mac'n'cheese was pretty darn good too.

As for shopping goes, we all bought a bunch of stuff. I suck and didn't get many pictures, but I'm sure you'll see some of the stuff coming up in outfit photos over the next little while. I bought a couple pairs of real suede Nine West flats, a new pair of Nike runners, some workout gear, a Columbia fleece pull-over, and my babies, these RayBan aviator sunnies.
They were my favourite deal. Reg $150. And I paid $80. #winning

Until next time, Syracuse.

My Long Weekend.

This weekend I went to Sudbury with a couple friends to visit our bff who's doing her Masters there. It was the perfect little trip to spiritually mark the end of summer. Although we have another ~20 days to go, September first always feels like fall to me.

I did some shopping, of course.
I climbed a rock. There are lots of rocks in Sudbury...
I touched the Big Nickel! TOUCHED it!
We made a dinosaur friend.

Hope you had a wonderful long weekend doing whatever you were doing!

Do you feel fall in the air where you are?

Road trippin'.

Tomorrow I'm getting behind the wheel and making the nearly 5-hour drive to the big T.O. A friend is getting married on Saturday, and I'm heading up a bit early to spend the weekend with another one of my BFFs! I don't see her nearly enough, so I'm pretty gosh darn excited for this weekend to kick-off!

I'll be back to regular programming on Monday. Have yourselves a fantastic weekend and keep it real, yo.

Paradise.

This was my weekend. This is why I am having such a hard time getting back to the real world. I haven't felt that happy and carefree in a long time.

The cottage was perfect: beautiful view, quiet lake and perfect weather. None of us wanted to leave on Monday, so we stayed until the last possible second and left just before dinner. All of us had full-time jobs to return to on Tuesday. I guess that's how you know you've grown up - you actually have commitments you need to keep. No more student life and doing whatever you want, whenever. Now we can't just skip class if something better comes up. We now have responsibilities to more people than just ourselves...

I guess we just have to make the best with the time we get. Like going on spontaneous trips like this, making silly memories that will last for years, and taking pictures every step of the way.

P.S. Happy belated Canada Day to all my Canadian peeps!
P.P.S. Happy 4th of July to all of my American friends!

My Labour Day Weekend!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Labour Day weekend. I spent most of my weekend in Kingston with my boyfriend and his family. It was a good time and I got to tour the city a bit.

Here are some pictures of the adventures:

The horse-drawn carriage that we rode.

Boyfriend at the Kingston Locks.

Love this picture - the fresh food, the flowers...

Some really interesting performers.

Random old-school phone booth :)

Love this picture.

The harbour. Look at all the boats!!!

We had a great time :) It would have been nicer if the humidity wasn't so high... We had to pop in and out of air-conditioned stores throughout the day. Yep, gross I tell ya.

Hope everyone else had a wonderful Labour Day weekend! What did you all do?
