Gap jeans; American Eagle chambray top; Call it Spring sandals

Not gunna lie, Gap's whole "Back to Blue" campaign is perfect timing for fall. Taking out my denim has me falling in love all over again. I've hit up Gap a couple of times recently for jeans and found two pairs that belong in my closet. When you find a great pair of denim, you can't let it get away.

So naturally, I am pairing my new jeans with classic chambray. I'm glad I can still pull this look off without it being tacky.
Maybe in 5 years, but not today.

This is likely a repeat outfit, but I honestly don't care. There's just something so perfect about chambray and black. Add a pop of colour, and you're set.

Equestrian.

Dunno 'bout you, but I feel like I'm about to jump on a horse in this outfit. The whole "riding" vibe with my fave boots, tanned pants and chambray top is getting to me.

True story, I've never been on a horse. Actually, that's not a true story. One time when I was three or four I rode a pony. I have pictures to prove to myself that I did it. Since then, I haven't been on a horse or even near a horse. They're massive and scare me a little bit. I mean, I don't think they're going to try to kill me or anything, but if that thing falls over and I'm under it, I'm done.

Even still, I think horseback riding would be kind of neat. My friend and I have mentioned going for fun, but nothing has come out of it. Maybe we'll have to seriously look into it so I can have a reason to wear my "equestrian" outfit ;)

Flower power.

I'm wearing pants with flowers on them. And not little flowers... big flowers. I don't even know why, but as soon as I laid eyes on these babies they had to be mine. When I got them for 50% off, the decision was made even easier.

The only downside is I can't wear them to work! This seriously limits how much wear I can get out of them but that's okay, as long as most of my wardrobe is work-appropriate I am allowed to have a couple pieces that are unique ;)

Thanks Joe Fresh for making the perfect denim top. I've been looking for one for a while, and it appeared on my fall wish-list that I tweeted a few months back (along with my mocassins). I finally found it for an affordable price of $24! Loooooove.

Also, can I just say how happy I am that we are still seeing loafer shoes everywhere? When I bought these on mega sale last winter I wasn't sure how long they'd last me. After seeing a number of loafer styles come out this fall, I'm happy that the trend is sticking around a little longer. On top of that, the height on these babies is awesome.

On a completely unrelated note: Ohmygosh. Today is Friday. Hollaaaaa.

Guess what guys? This is my 300th post. 300th. I thought this would be a small project and that I'd get tired of it after a while, but to have made it past one year, and to 300 posts.... well that's pretty crazy.

Thank you to everyone for your awesome support over this time. Welcome to the new followers and thank you all for your feedback and comments. You guys = super awesome. 

On a side-note, these shoes make me awesomely tall. So tall that at work I can stand up and see over all of the baffles in the office. It's great for people-stalking. If I'm looking for someone who isn't at their desk, I can find them by just standing up. It's a pretty valuable skill because I don't waste time wandering the office looking for them :)

Chambray Everyday

Well hello there Enter Kelly readers! I’m Joanne, the voice behind the life and personal style blog Fabulously Average, and I’m ecstatic to be blogging for Miss Kelly today. I’m a huge fan of her style and couldn’t be more honored to be here today, virtually of course. Although it would be kind of cool to head north and actually meet Kelly in all her Canadian glory!

Speaking of ye ol’ stylish Canadian, there’s something about chambray that screams Canada to me. I don’t know if it’s the whole Canadian tuxedo thing but chambray tops are all the rage right now. I personally consider them the new white tee, as they can be styled with just about anything; from leather to neon, stripes and florals, even their colored denim counterparts. It’s timeless and absolutely a wardrobe must-have. I’m a big fan of the versatility that chambray shirts offers and would definitely suggest that you grab yourself a couple, if you don’t already own at least one.
