Linking up with Marion from MarionBerry Style for the first time in way too long for her "Trend of the Month" link-up. This month? Hats. And I remembered to bring mine home so I could force my little bro to take some shots of me wearing it.

Also I tried to look cool by standing in a field. I just have no idea what this field was of.... Weeds? Cool factor totally amplified.

Trend challenge: Animal Print.

Today I'm linking up with Marion of Marionberry Style for her Trend of the Month challenge! This month is animal print, which is an awesome print on anyone.

I know everyone's seen leo print flats before, so it's really nothing new. In all honesty, I did have another outfit planned for this challenge but didn't get the chance to wear it. Sooo I had to stick with one of my outfits in the queue and this was the only one with a hint of animal print anything... Sorry for sucking, but at least I was able to participate in this challenge for the first time in a few months!

Trend of the Month: Pattern Mixing

Polka-dot explosion first comes to mind when I look back at theses photos. When I saw Marion's trend of the month link-up, I thought of my new polka-dotted jeans I just picked up over the weekend. Then came the task of figuring out what prints/patterns I wanted to put with them. After very little thought, my polka-dotted tank was a clear winner. I thought about going another step further and wearing my polka-dot shoes, but then realized that might be polka-dot overkill. So I just stuck to black wedges.

And sorry about the funny smudge on my lens. I didn't even notice until I had already uploaded the photos. I'll make sure that's cleaned for the future! Also, tomorrow you shall see the new hair colour! It's definitely darker but I'm curious to see how it'll show up in photos.

Trend of the Month: Yellow.

When Marion of Marionberry Style called her Trend of the Month as the colour "yellow", I was a little disappointed. Not going to lie. I have no yellow in my wardrobe except this tank, and I've always found it so hard to style.

Aside from this difficulty, yellow was my favourite colour as a kid. I always loved how happy and bright it was. To me it signalled summer and sunshine. Also, my favourite song ever is "Yellow" by Coldplay. A song that has been in my life for nearly a decade (maybe even more.. oh god I'm old) and still has meaning to me.  So all this love for yellow but I'm scared to wear it... Interesting.

What do you guys think of yellow? How would you style a simple yellow tank? I need ideas peeps.

Trend of the month: Florals

This outfit was a bad idea. It's still way too cold here for bare-legs. But it's the only floral that I had, and I can't bring myself to wear tights in April. I just can't.  If you haven't noticed yet, I'm doing a link-up with Marion for her Trend of the Month challenge at Marionberry. This month it's florals. And I own no more floral than this dress...It's just never been my thing I guess?

I really don't have much to talk about today. Writer's block I guess. So I'll just state the obvious - it's Wednesday, I'm happy that the week is half over, and I may or may not be going to Montreal this weekend (friend still has to get back to me on that one). Plus it looks like we'll be seeing sun again on Saturday. This week of rain is a killer.

So there you have it: spring is officially here. See the tiny bits of snow left behind? Crazy that in literally 3 days we went from having a foot of snow to nothing at all. And this week we've got June weather. It's kind of fabulous.
