I got a job.

For some reason these pics turned out a little out-of-focus, but I wasn't up for re-shooting the outfit. It was a busy day!

Costco blazer; H&M shirt; AE pants; Walmart boots

One month after I finishing my degree, I have landed a job with a company that I interned for about 4 years back. This is why networking is important, people! I know I'm super lucky to have had the opportunity to intern for them, and even though it was YEARS ago, I was still able to network my way into and interview, and consequently a job.

I'm super excited to start working, but that might mean a bit of a lag on the blog. I normally shoot my outfits in the middle of the day, and without work, I'm able to wear whatever I want. Now, my 9-5 will be business-casual and I don't know how much natural light I'll be able to get during the week. I hope not much will change but please bare with me while I work out the kinks over the next few weeks. :) If you've got any tips, feel free to share!!!

Did you guys have a wonderful weekend? Mine was pretty fab - I mean, finding out I'm now employed is pretty awesome news. What did you all do?

  1. Congrats on the job, Kelly! That's wonderful news! I take a lot of pics on the weekends (since I have more time and I look less tired, ha) but since I only work part time, sometimes I can do weekday pics.

Your animal print shirt is so cute and I love your socks with the little red stripe!

  5. Just like Sharon, I shoot a lot of my pictures on the weekend. I keep my week's clothes in a box and on the weekend I recreate them and shoot when the light is good. From time to time I finish early in the week so I will shoot then.
I don't post my pics the same day anyways, but delay it a little bit so I am more constant.
    Congrats on the job!

  10. Congratulations! That's amazing news :):)

As far as balancing work and outfit photos, well I don't think I could be any help. I have zero time during the day to take em' and end up trying to get as many in on the weekend as possible. But we girls know that during the winter, outfit posts might not be as constant as in the summer. SO no worries!

  17. Congrats on the new job!
As far as keeping up with the blog, I know some bloggers who shoot all their pictures on the weekends and one who does all her outfits one weekend a month! Personally, I take my pictures mostly indoors in the morning before I leave for work. Good luck!
