GAP trench; ALDO oxfords; Tommy Hilfiger top; AE jeans
Can you believe I'd wanted a trench for four years and never bit the bullet?
I've decided I need to start investing in key pieces for my wardrobe. Staples. Things I hope to have around for a while.
This Gap trench is my first investment purchase. It wasn't even that expensive, but for someone who refuses to spend more than $50 on a coat, it was out of my comfort zone.
Either way, I am in love with it, and it loves me back. We've got a great relationship and I can't wait to start adding other wonderful key pieces to my wardrobe. Next up: leather tote bag and a good quality pair of sunglasses.
How is it that it took the both of us THIS LONG to buy a trench? Loving yours! You look great!
ReplyDeleteRight?! I think we're both a bit crazy!
DeleteOK you've convinced me. A trench is a must have. Let me go dig out mine now.... :)

A trench is a wardrobe staple! You will be able to wear that for years to come.

Thanks Sharon! That was the plan. If it'll last, it's totally worth it :)
DeleteI've always wanted a trench too and I have yet to get one. Love yours, such a classic piece!

Thanks! Find the perfect one and don't be afraid to splurge :)
DeleteHaha we're totally in the same boat! I absolutely need a classic trench in my wardrobe too. And can you believe that I didn't even own a classic black purse until a few days ago? I even had to be FORCED into buying one, when my salad opened up in my trusty go-to Coach purse.

Thanks Katherine :) I don't even own a classic black purse... Sorry to hear about the salad opening in your Coach purse :(
DeleteGreat find! A classic trench is such a major staple for a closet, I can't believe you went four years without!
ReplyDeleteI know right? No idea how I managed before.
DeleteI'd say this is a good investment.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I've always wanted one of these coats as well.. I actually bought one last year and it ended up being way too large. I never returned it.. It just sits in my closet and when winter comes around, I freeze and wear my sweater instead :(
ReplyDeleteI love this on you though! Looks very nice!

Aww that's too bad! Is it worth it to try and get it tailored? I hate when clothes just sit around cause there's something "not right" with them :(
DeleteThat trench is SO cute! Love this look Kelly :)

GAP trench, yes!! When I worked at the Gap in High School (best job!) I had this beautiful white trench coat that I loved to pieces. Of course I lost it and have yet to replace it but I think this is the year and Gap is the place! You will get so much wear out of it!
ReplyDeleteYess I totally agree!! I bought a trench from Zara a while ago and I love it! It wasn't that expensive either but more than I usually pay, but it was so worth it. And I just found one for my sister today too! I love yours and that bag!
