Labour day sales.

Aerie top; American Eagle shorts; Forever 21 shoes

On Sunday, I was sitting in my comfy bed reading my Twitter feed, and as usual I got the urge to go to the mall. Nothing else was planned that day, so why not? Because I really shouldn't be spending money, that's why not.

Hoping some of my awesome Tweeps would have words of advice against getting my butt in the car and spending my hard earned money on just a few more clothes, I asked them to discourage me from shopping. Instead I got tweets telling me the opposite: Go. Labour day sales.

So I went. And got sucked into American Eagle & Aerie's 40% off EVERYTHING sale. This top? $13. And I think it will quickly become a staple in my fall wardrobe - especially when I'm looking for something comfy to lounge in. These shorts? I've been eyeing them since they came out but refused to spend $40 on a pair of denim shorts. I got them for $18. I don't care that it's the end of the season.

All in all, I think I'm good on the shopping front for a few weeks. If not months. :)

Did you take advantage of any Labour Day sales?

  2. You got great deals, Kelly! I would've loved to go shopping but since I'm pretty broke at the moment, I wouldn't dare set foot in the mall now!

  4. Ah so jealous of all those great deals! I knew about the sales but couldn't let myself even look at them for fear of still spending too much! :)
