HOLIDAY DRESSES.

c/o eShakti dress

It's that time of year again. Lovely ladies everywhere are looking for that perfect holiday dress. Whether you've got a Christmas party, New Years party, or even just a family get together, a beautiful dress is a must.

When eShakti contacted me to review one of their products, I chose this dress with my work's Christmas party in mind. I had gotten another dress from H&M, but I didn't think it'd be fancy enough, so I returned it. This? I can work with this...

The best thing about eShakti is you can customize. For this dress, I removed the pockets because I didn't want anymore fabric added to my hips. I also customized the length by choosing "above the knee". Technically, I would consider this knee-length. I expected about an inch or two shorter, but it's still pretty as it is. And it's better to be too long than too short, since it's for a work function.

Anyways, I'm totally excited to style this for my work party! The lace overlay is SO delicate and the hemline is gorgeous. I encourage you to stop by eShakti to check out their dresses because today the entire site is 35% off! That's a mega deal.

Happy weekend to everyone!

Dress dilemma.

Dress: c/o eShakti

Ahh dresses. I don't wear them often enough. Why? I don't think they've very versatile.

But this dress... This dress is special. It comes from eShakti's new spring collection, which is totally rockin' btw. But because it isn't spring yet, and I couldn't wait any longer to show you, I've styled it with snowflakes in mind. Guess what that means? A dress that transitions through seasons. What more is there to love? Plus these buttons are super awesome.

Probably what I'm most pleasantly surprised with is the fit. eShakti offers sizes from 0-36W, and allows customization of their garments. You can add/remove pockets and other embellishments (I kept the pockets, they're fun). But they have a great size scale because my dress fits me like a glove. I requested my hem-line above the knee, and they were able to do it while keeping the dress modest enough for the workplace.

What do you think about dresses? How do you keep them versatile?

This just in: Lookin' to score yourself a great eShakti dress? Get 20% off when you use code: KELLYBLGGE until next Sunday, Mar 10! I've also been eyeing up this great polka dotted pencil skirt...

This one time I won a giveaway.

eShakti dress (giveaway win); Forever 21 wedges

So this post is LONG overdue. I won this dress from a giveaway over at Verbal Melange a couple of months back. When I could choose whatever I wanted on the eShakti website, I gravitated towards this dress for two reasons. 1) I actually like the floral print. It's got brighter colours and they pop against the muted background. 2) It is 100% cotton. This is totally necessary in the crazy heat we've been having... Also it has pockets. I guess that's three reasons.

When you buy from eShakti, you have the ability to customize certain parts of the dress. I didn't touch this one because I wasn't sure how it'd look. After I got it, I would have liked if it was a couple inches shorter, but that's a cheap alteration I can do myself.

I have a special treat for you today. eShakti is having a 40% off sale, and they are offering you guys an extra 10% off with the code KE25NEW! Hurry because it expires next Tuesday, July 31st! Find yourself a wonderful dress or peruse their other things like skirts and tops. Some of them are super duper cute.
