Leggings.

Dynamite jacket and leggings; Costco plaid top; Call it spring boots

Kelly's arguments for wearing leggings as pants:

1) No need for a belt that fluctuates from being "too tight" to "not tight enough" all in a day... or is that just me?

2) Maximum stretch so your legs don't feel like they're suffocating. Maybe I just need to go up a pant size?

3) Ultimate comfort in ALL activities- in particular, movie watching, couch surfing, napping... All the best things to do in life.

4) In the winter when it gets cold, leggings fit well under snowpants... I admit, this is hardly an argument, but go with it.

5) If you gain a few pounds, your leggings will still love you. Unlike those jeans that decide they're too good for you, and won't let you wear them.

Do you wear leggings as pants, or are they a fashion no-no in your books?

The little things.

Enjoying a biscotti that your co-worker was so kind to share with you.

Waking up 20 minutes later than usual because mom decided to drive in separately today (we carpool usually).

A clean room.

Getting home early and finishing the workout by 6, allowing sufficient time for making dinner, blogging and socializing.

Falling asleep wrapped up in four different blankets.

Finishing a good book.

What little things have you been enjoying recently?

Pause.

Yes, these pictures were taken a few weeks ago and just never got posted. Now, the trees behind me here have pretty much lost their leaves. There isn't much green left, either. Everything is turning red, orange, yellow and even brown. Fall is in full swing, my friends, and today the rain is supposed to come. Wooooo (not).  Before we know it, there will be snow on the ground and we will be humming along to Christmas music. Wait - what? Sometimes I wish life had a pause button. It feels like it's moving too quickly.

Trend challenge: Animal Print.

Smart Set top; Kenneth Cole (via Costco) cargo skinnies; Payless flats; Fossil watch

Today I'm linking up with Marion of Marionberry Style for her Trend of the Month challenge! This month is animal print, which is an awesome print on anyone.

I know everyone's seen leo print flats before, so it's really nothing new. In all honesty, I did have another outfit planned for this challenge but didn't get the chance to wear it. Sooo I had to stick with one of my outfits in the queue and this was the only one with a hint of animal print anything... Sorry for sucking, but at least I was able to participate in this challenge for the first time in a few months!

Want to be inspired by animal print? Stop by Marion's blog and check out how all of the others styled it!

Flannel and Moccasins.

So my junk food ban was a success! It ended on Sunday and I didn't even have the urge to eat much sugar. I had a couple pieces of dark chocolate after dinner and that was that.  It's satisfying to know that I don't need sugar as much as I felt that I did before I started the challenge. I feel good :)

I'm keeping this short because I'm exhausted after this weekend. Not much sleep on Saturday night meant going to bed last night at 8. My body is not very happy with me right now... Time for a day at work!

White and blue.

Tommy Hilfiger top; American Eagle pants; Aldo shoes; Joe Fresh belt

There's something so classic about pairing white pants with a blue button-up shirt. To add some more colour, I styled it with a pink belt. I think the look turned out a little nautical in the end, ant it was perfect for spring!

As I had mentioned before, our weather has been going through a warm spell. As much as I don't want to have to throw on another jacket, I really don't want to get rid of my pants just yet. I still have so many ways I'd like to style these white babies, along with my green and red ones. I'm not ready for shorts-weather... That can come next month :)

Jackets in Spring.

Dynamite jacket and sheer button-up; Costco sweater (really old..); American Eagle jeans; Le Chateau heels

I'm really hoping that this was the last time I could pull off a jacket and so many layers this spring. For some reason a heat wave just hit us and we're experiencing June temperatures. It's lovely. And I really don't want to have to dig for a jacket again.

Aaaaaaaaand I forgot to write this post last night. If I don't write at night, I have nothing to say in the morning. My brain hasn't turned on yet. So I'm experiencing major blogger's-block. :\

Instead, I shall leave you with a pinterest pic I found the other day and I loved:

Trend of the month: Florals

F21 dress, belt, necklace; Chaps (men's) top via Costco; H&M flats

This outfit was a bad idea. It's still way too cold here for bare-legs. But it's the only floral that I had, and I can't bring myself to wear tights in April. I just can't.  If you haven't noticed yet, I'm doing a link-up with Marion for her Trend of the Month challenge at Marionberry. This month it's florals. And I own no more floral than this dress...It's just never been my thing I guess?

I really don't have much to talk about today. Writer's block I guess. So I'll just state the obvious - it's Wednesday, I'm happy that the week is half over, and I may or may not be going to Montreal this weekend (friend still has to get back to me on that one). Plus it looks like we'll be seeing sun again on Saturday. This week of rain is a killer.

A lesson for men.

F21 blazer; Chaps button-up via Costco (men's); American Eagle jeans; Spring shoes; Fossil watch

Dear men: If you are emotionally unavailable, please don't speak to women. If you do speak to women, at least do not try to date them. Don't ask for their number, don't take them on dates, don't play interested. Because in the end, it makes you an asshole. It's a shame men don't read this blog.

Dear women: If you are interested in a man who is emotionally unavailable, RUN AWAY. That is all.

Random thoughts.

Heh, that sign behind me says "No Dumping"... *cue dirty thoughts and giggles*. Okay, enough of that.

'Twas a beautiful day out, thus the dancing. It was just so nice out!

I went to the gym and then came home to eat: pasta, broccoli, cheese and crackers, chocolate, cookies and chips. All within an hour of working out. There is something seriously wrong with that...

I probably should have substituted those chips and cookies with other veggies or fruits of some sort, but honestly we had none. I ate the last of the veggies in the house when I downed that broccoli. Protein would have been a good idea too... I really suck at this apparently.

I rarely wear sunglasses. Because I rarely wear contacts. Because I have an astigmatism in one eye and they dry out my eyes (I know you all care about these small details...). But today I was feeling the aviators. So I sucked it up and put in contacts.

Confession: Sometimes when I'm driving and I have my glasses on, I'll put my sunglasses over top if it's too bright. I KNOW! How awful is that? Oh well, I make sure to remove the double-glasses when I finally get OUT of the car. But yeah, all those who drive by probably get a nice little giggle at 6-eyes over there.

HAPPY FRIDAY TO YOU ALL!

Tights & socks.

F21 dress & socks; Costco blazer; Spring boots; Walmart tights; Smart Set necklace

I wore this outfit out one night to a friend's birthday party. The tights & knee-high socks added a little sex-appeal to the outfit without showing much skin. This striped dress was an awesome Forever 21 find - $13.50. I couldn't say no. I didn't really want to wear these boots, but to be honest, it was still too cold to forgo the boots that day...

Tomorrow's St. Patrick's day! Hope everyone has plans to enjoy themselves (be safe!). Me, I'm excited for this weekend and the temperatures reaching almost 20 degrees C. Hello t-shirt, here I come! Let's not jinx it now....

EBEW: Rockin' The Green.

Winners jeans; GAP cardigan; Tommy Hilfiger (men's) shirt via Costco; F21 pants; Fossil watch

A few things today:
1. I'm channeling my inner spring: colours, cuffed pants, rolled-up sleeves. Yes, please. I can't wait until I can actually wear an outfit like this out of the house without a jacket.

2. I'm debuting my new watch - it's Fossil's "Stella" model in rose gold. I was going between regular gold and rose gold but decided that I love this colour of rose gold. It's not too pink which is exactly what I was looking for. I still need to get links taken out of it though, because it's pretty darn big as it is.

3. I'm linking this outfit up with EBEW's Green challenge! I think it's so fitting considering St. Patty's day is coming up this weekend and all... Anyone have any crazy plans?
