EBEW: Colour ...spotting?

American Eagle dress; Forever 21 belt; Spring shoes; ebay handbag

When I saw the colour-blocking challenge, I wasn't really feeling head-to-toe colour. I did that for my last EBEW, so this time I wanted to do something a little different. I call this "colour-spotting". Maybe it's not full-on colour blocking, so sorry that I kind of faked this challenge, but I'm much happier with this look. Plus it was actually breezy in the super hot weather we've been having :)

I suggest you go check out all the other wonderful colour-blockers! You can find 'em over here at Everybody, Everywhere.

EBEW: Neon.

The only problem with the gym: your legs get bigger.

Although this is a good thing (because I'm being active and healthy), it's annoying when my pants get too tight. Like these ones. I feel like the hulk about to burst out of some of my jeans. This is no good. And I'm not going to stop going to the gym, so I guess I need to figure out how to stretch these or retire them...

Aside from my legs, there's some neon in this outfit. Mostly because I'm linking up with EBEW's neon challenge. Woooooooooooooo! I bought this shirt at H&M a couple months ago and it's one of my favourite tees at the moment. The baggy cut, wide neck and rolled up sleeves rock. I think this top was $10? Steeeeeal. Although, I feel like a bit of a watermelon in this outfit. Pink, green, and spots of black. Hmm...

EBEW: Nautical.

Dynamite blazer; Forever 21 top and necklace; American Eagle jeans; H&M flats

This is as nautical as it's going to get. Stripes, cropped blazer (somehow nautical-feely), gold chain necklace. To complete this look I wish I had a rope bracelet or some cute boat-shoes - but hey, you can't have everything!

Speaking of rope bracelets - if you want to get your hands on one, Kate of O My Heart has her own Etsy shop selling these beauties. I haven't bought one yet but I have been eyeing them up... I love the white-rope bracelet. Anyway, just thought they were cute and went with the theme of the day!

Anyways, I'm linking up with EBEW and going to check out the rest of the nautical looks when I've got a chance. You should too!

EBEW: Pastels

Costa blanca button up; Alfred Sung blazer (via Zellers); American Eagle pants; Spring flats

Today I'm linking up with Everybody, Everywhere and wearing pastels in honour of spring.

I grabbed the only pastel piece of clothing that I own - this light-pink button-up. I'm more of a brights person. I think pastels wash me out, just because I'm so darn pale, and I tend to avoid them at stores.

What do you think of pastels? Have you jumped on the pastel bandwagon?

PS. I want to thank everyone for your support, comments and ideas on my last post. Thanks for being so awesome - you guys rock :)

EBEW: Rockin' The Green.

Winners jeans; GAP cardigan; Tommy Hilfiger (men's) shirt via Costco; F21 pants; Fossil watch

A few things today:
1. I'm channeling my inner spring: colours, cuffed pants, rolled-up sleeves. Yes, please. I can't wait until I can actually wear an outfit like this out of the house without a jacket.

2. I'm debuting my new watch - it's Fossil's "Stella" model in rose gold. I was going between regular gold and rose gold but decided that I love this colour of rose gold. It's not too pink which is exactly what I was looking for. I still need to get links taken out of it though, because it's pretty darn big as it is.

3. I'm linking this outfit up with EBEW's Green challenge! I think it's so fitting considering St. Patty's day is coming up this weekend and all... Anyone have any crazy plans?

EBEW & BDIB: Red (+ Pink)

Guys, this is bold for me. I'm still not sure I'm loving this look, but I tried to gather all the red and pink I own and this is all there was. I've never loved red on me, and pink is somehow rare in my closet. I must change this soon...

Winners jeans; Joe Fresh top; Spring boots

Today I'm linking up with TWO challenges - EBEW's Red & Pink and BDIB's Red. Colour challenges are fun because almost anyone can participate in them. I think you get so much creativity because people can use completely different articles of clothing to create the red & pink combination. There's the subtle addition of colourful accessories, or the bold head-to-toe combination. So much chance for inspiration along the way :)

EBEW: Black & White

Today's outfit is black & white.

Black + White | Everybody, Everywear

This outfit is in participation with today's Everybody, Everywhere Black & White "challenge". This here is my black and white outfit.  There were a number of different combinations I could think up, but this one won. Looking back, I could have gone with my white jeans and a black top to change it up, but who cares. It's done and I'm not stepping outside to take more photos. It's freaking cold!

I'm so excited to be able to participate in today EBEW though! It's been a couple months since I've participated. I didn't own sequins or sparkle for the last challenge so I sat that one out. Now the question is, what will be the next challenge?!

EBEW: DIY/Refashion

Leaves = my favourite part of fall. I love walking around in the forest with the leaves crunch under my feet. It's the best.

F21 shirt, belt and (altered) maxi, Aldo shoes

This is my EBEW DIY/Re-fashion challenge because when I purchased this skirt, it was actually a maxi dress! I decided it would be MUCH more versatile as a skirt and decided to chop it off at the arms and sew in an elastic waist. I get much more use out of it now :)

These photos were taken in the forest by my parents' house. Its always gorgeous back there at this time of year. Boyfriend and I took a walk and then took some photos of the adventure.

EBEW: Mixed Patterns!

I'm a day early, but I'll be linking this post up with EBEW tomorrow for their Mixed Patterns challenge! I can't say I've ever mixed any patterns, but I felt great in this outfit all day! I would have to say that this challenge has opened my eyes to this mixing thing, and maybe I'll be doing it more often ;)

Shirt from Old Navy; Skirt from Dynamite; Sandals from F21; Belt from Costa Blanca

At first I had a different idea for mixing patterns, but the weather was wayyy too hot to wear the outfit I had intended. I guess I'll have to save it for a cooler, fall day. Instead, this wonderfully breezy shirt came to the rescue :) I've been missing my button-up shirts in this heat wave!

Like the wood pile? I was back at my parent's place this weekend. I love being there, it's so relaxing and such a nice change of pace from the city. I can actually sleep with my window open and there aren't any cars driving past! It's incredible how many little things I realize that I miss when I'm away from home...

EBEW: My one yellow piece of clothing...

... Is this tank top that I bought last year.  I've always strayed away from yellow because of my pale skin, but it is a nice, bright and cheery addition to anyone's wardrobe. Anyway, here's my take on EBEW's Yellow:

Tank from Dynamite; Jeans from Gap; Belt from Joe Fresh; Shoes and Sunglasses from F21

This weekend we had my boyfriend's little sister over. We decided to visit the Museum of Science and Technology in Ottawa, and I had to take some pictures near the rocket ship.  Ever since I was little I've been coming to this museum, and each experience has been defined by this awesome rocket. And the awesome trains... Anyway, it was a great weekend! The humidity broke for a day, so I was able to wear my favourite jeans!

This "challenge" has made me wish I had more yellow in my wardrobe. Maybe a nice summer dress... Time to go on a hunt!

P.s. This was my 100th post! Yay!  I just want to say thank you to everyone that reads my blog and takes the time to comment. I appreciate each and every one of you =)

EBEW: Lace

I've got a few things to note:
a) I only have three lace things. Two tops, and a pair of tights. Obviously I'm not a huge lace person, but I really love this top. My cousin in Denmark (Line) got it for me as a gift :)

b) I really hate this glare that I get from the camera sometimes. It's as if my shirt and skin blend together, even though they're different colours. Ick.

c) This EBEW almost didn't happen for me. I was wearing lace today, but just didn't get around to photos. Tonight was pretty hectic, so I wasn't sure if my wonderful photographer would have time to capture the outfit.

I was lucky:

Shirt from H&M (Denmark); Bandeau top from Dynamite; Jeans from F21; Shoes from Payless
