Coral and pink.

Joe Fresh cardigan; H&M tank; Forever 21 cropped pants, belt, necklace; Call it spring shoes

Just a work outfit. I love these pants - they're the perfect high waist. Right below my belly button, but fitting perfectly 100% of the way up. Nice work on these, Forever 21. You did good.

Do you have a pair of pants, that despite all odds, are a favourite?

Little smiles and sing-alongs.

American Eagle jeans, jacket; Gap top; Zellers boots

When I drive home from work by myself, I turn the radio max volume, rotate through the stations, and sing along with all the rockin' songs.

Sometimes I have the thought: what if someone was listening to the same radio station, looked over/behind at me, and saw me singing along to the same song they were listening to.. It's probably happened, but I've just never known.

Yesterday, I was at a red light, stereo blaring, and I look behind me. Some young dude in a bright red sports car is having THE TIME OF HIS LIFE, singing along with the radio. When I realize he's actually singing to the same song I'm listening to, I can't help but smile. He was getting so into it, with hand movements, facial expressions, and hammering the wheel of his car to the beat. It was awesome.

Just plain awesome.

Work-Style Wednesday

Forever 21 tee, skirt, tights, belt, necklace; Urban Behaviour sweater; Call it Spring heels

Way back when I was more organized, I used to do Work Style Wednesday posts. Well, today is Wednesday and I've got a "work" outfit for y'all. I figured I'd bring it back for another week.

I just got these cream tights - I am in love! I'm so pasty so I wasn't sure how they'd look, but I almost look tanned! Just kidding. That's impossible. I love how classic this outfit is, and that I got all these pieces (but the cardi) at Forever 21. That store has a bad rep with some people. I mean, about 25% of the clothes are overly trendy, 50% is super poor quality, but there are hidden jems! Like this skirt for instance. Best $11 spent. And this belt? $2.50. I love deals, so naturally F21 can be heaven to me...

Happy Hump Day!

Mustard.

Forever 21 cardigan, button-down and necklace; Dynamite slacks; Le Chateau shoes

Not the condiment, but the colour. Here's another work-style outfit, but this one features my new mustard cardigan.

Now I don't know about you, but it's hard to shop for "cheap" sweaters. Most materials irritate my skin, so I have to be really picky about what blends I buy. Somehow this 100% acrylic sweater (which is usually super itchy) is the softest thing in the world. Surprisingly, it doesn't irritate me at all. So on top of being an awesome colour, it's so cozy and soft! Does anyone else find it hard to shop for sweaters for the same reason?

I just want the weekend to get here now. I'm excited to go to a Halloween party on Saturday. Last year I remember being cooped up in my apartment for my "month from hell" of homework during my last semester of University. I didn't get to celebrate Halloween or my birthday. This year, however, I'm making sure both are celebrated to the greatest extent possible. Woohoo for great friends and parties :)

Professional.

Old Navy turtleneck; Forever 21 pencil skirt and belt; Dynamite scarf; H&M tights; ALDO oxfords

This outfit was a winner at the office. It's so funny how a skirt can transform your look. So many people commented on how "professional" I looked. Funny how that wasn't exactly the look I was going for, but I guess it worked its way in.  I'll take "professional" any day at the office!

Also I'm wearing a turtleneck! I can't believe it's getting cold enough to wear these kinds of things... And tights with skirts? They're a must now. Probably for the next 7 months. Awesome, now I'm depressed. Us bloggers wish and hope for fall during the warm months, but once it comes and the prettiness goes away (yeah, pretty leaves are mostly on the ground now), I wish for summer. And I'll be wishing for summer until it comes again. In another 8 months. Great, I have depressed myself once more.

Happy Monday!

Polka-dot tights.

Gap cardigan; Forever 21 t-shirt; Jacob skirt; Walmart polka dot tights; Zellers booties

I was taking photos and all of a sudden this light breeze comes and blows the hair off my face. I was feeling a little model-esque as I posed, as if I was in front of a wind-machine... Oh c'mon - I know it happens to you too ;).

And hello polka-dot tights. Everyone I saw gave me the up-and-down. Seriously, every.single.person I came across looked at my tights first, then my face. I guess it's not normal to see polka-dotted legs in the workplace, but that's okay. It's fun being a little different.

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I got the rest that I wanted and I'm ready to take on the week ahead. Work has been so busy lately, so I'm grateful for our long weekend coming up. I seriously can't believe it's the first day of October.

It's a wrap.

Joe Fresh wrap sweater (similar); Forever 21 button-up; Dynamite slacks (similar); Sirens boots (similar); Castellammare leaf necklace

...Wrap sweater!!! Favourite part of fall? All the cozy sweaters and things that I can wrap myself in all nice and warm. Wearing something like this to work makes me feel like I'm back home, on my couch, wrapped in a blanket.
Well maybe not quite.
But it's the closest thing I'll get when I'm at the office.

What's everyone doing this weekend? My plans are no plans :) The last few weekends I've been up late and it's messed with my sleep schedule. This weekend I plan on catching up on sleep, reading a few books, and maybe watching a few movies. I would say shopping but I'm still on a freaking shopping ban that seems to never end...

Pencil skirts.

Forever 21 top & skirt; H&M flats; Dynamite belt; wishbone necklace from Castellammare Designs

Sooo the belt you see here... well, it used to fit. Now it's too small. I took it off halfway through the day but squeezed it back on for pictures cause I really do love it... Lame. And this pencil skirt? Because it's got such a high waist it makes my butt stick out. I actually wondered a couple of times if it was appropriate for the office because of how big my butt felt... woohoo butts...

It's Friday! <-- most overused, joyous statement ever. Can't help it though, I gotta go with the rest of the world on this one and be uber excited that Friday has finally come.  Tonight I'm going out on the town with some girlfriends, and I'm pretty darn excited. Saturday I'm having brunch with a friend, and then who knows for the rest of the weekend! That's my kind of relaxation :)

Any fun weekend plans?

Casual work outfit.

Alfred Sung blazer (via Zellers); H&M tank; American Eagle denim; Call it Spring shoes

Just another casual work outfit in all neutrals.

It's Thursday. Nothing really special happens on Thursday. There's not much to talk about on Thursday. It's one of those filler days. Not quite the weekend, and not cool like hump day. Tuesday is another filler day. Filler days kind of suck, you just want them to be over to move onto the fun days. Like Friday, i.e. tomorrow. I'm heading out for a night on the town with some girlfriends, which is something I haven't done in ages. Now if only this filler day would pass more quickly...

Have a fun Thursday :)

Brunch, Movies, and Batman.

Forever 21 top and necklace; American Eagle pants and shoes (via Payless)

This weekend was pretty stellar. Saturday started off with a quick workout and then brunch with a friend, and it ended with Batman. Oh Batman. I could stare at Christian Bale for hours. Minus the facial hair - the bushy beard does not suit him... But the movie did rock. You should go see it. Now.

Sunday I planned to go to the beach but it was supposed to thunderstorm. Supposed to. By dinner it hadn't rained, but that's okay. Instead I spent the day dancing around to loud music and watching more movies. Awesome.

Aside from the music, dancing and movies, I finally took a few minutes and made my blog a button! It's on my right-hand side-bar in case anyone wants to grab it. Now that I finally have a button, I'd be willing to do some button-swapping if any of you guys are interested :) Drop me a line and we can sort something out!

Hope your weekends were wonderful and that you have a great Monday!

Easy work style.

Joe Fresh top; American Eagle denim; Alfred sung (via Zellers) shoes

Sometimes there's nothing better than skinny jeans and heels. Top it off with a structured button-up top. This is a good work outfit for the casual office. The dark wash denim and heels add that little bit of professional, while the top is comfortable but still nicely structured.

I got back from the family camping trip last night and we had a blast! A couple weeks ago my friends introduced me to Nutella s'mores. Instead of chocolate, you put Nutella on a graham cracker. I have NO idea why I had never thought of this before. I put Nutella on everything but never considered a s'more. Either way, we ate these the entire camping trip.

Seriously guys, I think I found my new weakness. Nutella and marshmallows go together like...well, Nutella and marshmallows :) Try it next time you're making s'mores. You'll thank me. Or curse me for creating your newest addiction...

Photo dilemmas.

Dynamite top; H&M pants; Spring shoes; Forever 21 necklace

I didn't realize how long the grass was until I saw these pictures played back. I didn't want to take pictures on the road today because my annoying neighbour across the street was mowing his lawn.  More specifically, the part that reaches the street. I'm pretty sure he knows when I take outfit photos and plans his mowing around it, because this is the 2nd time that's happened this week... I mean, I would probably be curious too if my neighbour came outside every day with a camera & tripod, took a few pictures of herself, and then went back inside. If I wasn't exposed to the world of style blogging, I would be 110% confused and curious.

Oh the fun dilemmas us style bloggers face...

Satin tops & cropped pants.

Alfred Sung (via Zellers) top; Forever 21 pants; Spring shoes

Here's an outfit I wore to work. I haven't worn this top in about a year, but it's survived all of my closet clean-ups. I'm glad I've kept it, it's got its special moments. Also, there's nothing better than a pair of cropped dress-pants. I absolutely love this black pair that I got from Forever 21. They were affordable and actually wash nicely - a hit-or-miss quality when you buy from Forever 21. They're also high-waisted, which is pretty fun. I can get a bunch of different looks out of 'em.

These shoes came to me for my bridesmaid outfit at my best friend's wedding last September. I have to say they're some of the comfiest heels I own, and I probably wear them a hand-full of times a week at work. So to my friends who I argued with about buying them, I am sorry. You guys have wonderful taste in footwear and I don't know where I would be without them. :)

Happy Tuesday world!

There's a lack of colour here.

American Eagle skinnies; Forever 21 tank; Winners cardigan; Payless wedges

The only colour in this entire look is coming from my cork soles, pink toenails and rose-gold watch. And I kinda like it. As much as this spring is all about colour, I do like the classic blank-and-white outfit every once in a while. Also, I'm so glad I've found some great ways to pull off these white pants at work. I always feel like white attracts attention and while I'm at work I want to tone that down as much as I can. Paired with black, it's a much more neutral look that doesn't scream "look at me!"

Does anyone else feel this way about white pants? Am I just crazy?

Also, you rock if you know what song inspired my post title.
