BASICALLY PYJAMAS.

This look is basically pyjamas for me.
Nothing cozier than warming up in my large, comfy poncho.

Happy Monday!

My spring go-to & My happiness link-up.

I don't know if you've been able to tell, but this distressed jeans & tee combo is my favourite.
I think I could live in this all year.
If only it was warm enough all year to get away with it.

Linking up with Sarah again today for my happiness project, here are some things that have made me happy this week:
- Having a short week. 4 day work weeks rock. Nothing like a long weekend to re-energize.

- This t-shirt. I bought it as a complete joke around Christmas. I think I've worn it at least once a week since. Considering the amount of shirts I own, that's a big deal.

- The amount of love that my Castellammare necklace giveaway is getting! Marianna sure makes pretty jewellery.

Link up HERE and share what makes you happy =)

Bad girls.

Dynamite jacket and top; American Eagle jeans; Walmart boots; Castellammare necklace

If you know me at all, you know that I LOVE any outfit that screams bad-ass. I'm totally the opposite of a "bad girl", but it's really fun to dress like I mean business. C'mon, you mean you're not scared of me in my ripped jeans, (faux) leather jacket and moto boots? I can be pretty intimidating sometimes ;)

I have been thinking of switching to the Disqus commenting system. I talked about this long ago, and implemented it temporarily, but then disabled it (I can't remember why). I feel like it might be easier for people to comment and maybe (just maybe) I'll get a little less spam than I've been getting. Has anyone had any problems with Disqus? Is it a good idea? Your advice is very much appreciated :)

Weekend-wear.

Giant Tiger tee; American Eagle jeans; Walmart shoes

Guyysss, I finally got myself a baseball tee! And it was only $8! I don't normally like prints/text like this on my shirts, but I decided the cost of the shirt made it totally worth it. Now, I wish I could say I was East Coast Champions in 1982 and played for New York, but unfortunately I a) do not play sports, b) was not alive in 1982 and c) do not live in/have anything to do with New York.

Oh well.

This is a typical weekender outfit for me. Breaking free from the office-wear into ripped jeans, boat shoes and a baseball tee. This, my friends, is comfort at its finest.

Did you do something exciting this weekend? Me, not so much. And it was wonderful.

A story about my cutoffs.

Today I'd like to share a little story with you. A story of how these shorts came to be...

Forever 21 top and shoes; American Eagle pants turned shorts

When I was 16, a cute boy had asked me out. I wanted new denim for the date, so I made a trip to American Eagle to buy my first AE jeans. The style was actually called "boyfriend", which I found pretty funny since I was buying them for a first date...Either way, they were my first AE jeans and were amazing. I give them credit for starting my undying love for AE's denim...

Over the years, these jeans have managed to stay in my wardrobe. Even when other jeans have passed their prime and been donated, I've kept my "boyfriend" jeans. Maybe it had to do with the fact my ex and I were able to make it over 5 years together and they were a keepsake from our first date. I had an emotional attachment to these jeans.

When we broke up late last year, I didn't want to part with these pants just yet. They had managed to stick with me for 5 long years and they still had some life left in them. So I updated them. I cut the legs off the pants and turned them into distressed denim shorts. And guess what? They're now my absolute favourite.

Coming up on 6 years in my closet, these denim babies have been through thick and thin with me. They're still holding on strong and hopefully it'll be another few years before we have to part for good.

Do you have anything in your closet that you've held onto forever?
