FALL: KNITS.

Forever 21 sweater; Gap jeans; Walmart moccasins

I love that my hair changes colour in almost every photo I post. Here it looks red. In a recent post it looked blonde. But really it's brown. It's like a chameleon on my head. I just hope it doesn't turn green or something one day.

In other fun facts, I've been enjoying knits. Especially since this weekend its barely above zero and anytime I go outside I want to shrivel up..

An ode to my furry friends.

So I wore this shirt to work the other day for a bit of fun. 

My boss asked me... "what does your shirt say?"

(If you can't read it, it says The entire cat population is my best friend.)

Then she asks me if I like cats, and if I had them growing up. 

I started babbling all about my wonderful furry friends I grew up with.

And got overly excited.

And started flapping my hands.

Actually.

It was embarrassing.

Moral of the story: Please don't ask me about my shirt. It will be embarrassing for the both of us.

Wedges, humidity and dogs.

I want to address a few things in this post:

1) These wedges from Target are incredible. Only $30 and I can wear them all day without any aches and pains. I can even sort of walk in them. They're a miracle for my feet.

2) For the past two weeks I've pretty much let my hair do it's own thing. I shower at night, sleep on it, wake up, go to work. No styling, no product (except some argan oil). It's been too humid to even try styling it.

3) These are the first outfit photos I've taken outside at my new place. And there's a dog taking a poop in the background. Cute.

The mosquito dance.

I went out to take outfit shots with my brother the other day, and I guess I disrupted this huge group of mosquitoes. We didn't really get good shots, but we did get what I call the mosquito dance.

The "scratch your head" move when you first notice them coming for you.

The "swat" move when they start to land all over your legs.

The "walk away in a pose" move, where you are trying to get as many possible blog-worthy shots without looking defeated. 

Total fail.

Happiness.

What is it to you?

All in all, to me it's mostly the little things. What happens in my day-to-day life that makes me smile and keeps me going. Today I'm joining Sarah's (of Coming Unstitched) new link-up to share a few things that make me happy! 

I love a great cup of coffee in the morning. I'm that girl who dumps a whole thing of sugar into her coffee. Packets? Sometimes Usually I take 5. I don't care, it's not every day, but those mornings I'm extra happy. 

Getting a mid-work text from a friend makes me happy. It puts a little break in the intensity I might be going through and gives me a little breath of fresh air. 

My new lamp makes me happy. You'll get to see it soon, when I finally get around to posting apartment pictures. It's just great. I dont even know what else to say about it, but yep, a lamp makes me smile.

That's all for today. Obviously many other things make me happy, but I don't want to write you guys a novel :) I'll save more for next time!

The happiness in a poncho.

I can't believe I actually contemplated buying this poncho. You know when you're just not sure how much you'll wear it, and when? Well, I think I walked by this poncho 5 times before buying it. It was only $15 but STILL! I wanted to make sure I would truly use it.

I took the plunge. I wear it all the time.

I look like such a little hippie, but that's okay. This is my go-to outfit. I've had a few coffee dates with friends in this exact getup. It's comfy, warm, and makes me happy.

Just a quick, casual outfit for a Friday. I don't have too much to say except that I'm sad that I haven't been giving my leopard print shoes as much love as I should be this summer. That, my friends, will change.

Anyone have any fun plans for the weekend? I might hit up the beach again, just because it's supposed to be perfect weather. What 'bout you?!
